libri nomen a Ioh. XXI. Pont. R. publicati. Platina in eius vita. Sic nempe dicuntur in iure Canonico Pontificum Rom. Constitutiones, quae Extra Corpus Canonicum Gratiani sive Extra Decretorum libros vagantur. Harum viginti a Ioh. XXII. privatâ auctoritate collectae sunt, circa A. C. 1340. quas
Gul. Occam, qui tum floruit, a multis reprehendi pro haereticis et falsis haberi adserit, errores ex libris et sermonibus Ioh. varios recitans. Iohanninas, ab Auctore, illas nominat Cuiacius in c. ad audientiam 4. de spons. et matr. Saeculo dein XV. decrescente alia collectio Extravagantium prodiit, quae Communes vocantur, quia non unius Papae. Quae collectio itidem privatâ industriâ facta neque ab ullo Pontifice approbata legitur. Sunt in ea Extravagantes quaedam Eugenii IV. Calixti III. Pauli II. Sixtiqueve IV. qui, cum ad Pontificatum pervenerit A. C 1471. et manserit in eo usque ad A. C. 1484. hoc tempore factam vulgatamque esse collectionem istam, est necesse. Quia iraque et haec a privato facta est, cuius nomen latet, ideo nec ipsa olim magnae auctoritatis fuit: iam vero, et haec, et anterior Ioh. Papae ptaefati, postquam in Corpus Canonicum recepta est, magni apud Canonistas est ponderis. Exstant harum quaedam cum Glosis Ioh. Monaschi Picardi Cardin. Aliae cum Comment. Gillermi de Monte Laduno et Ioh. Fr. de Panviniis, Idem Mastricht. n. 372 et 383. qui etiam Extravagantes in Corpore Iuris Canon. respondere Novellis in Corpore Iuris Civ. addit. n. 384.
